PT, DPT, CLC
I am a follower of Jesus, wife, mother to 4, Physical Therapist, fitness teacher and gospel preacher, lover of community and put on this earth to serve, love people and to honor God.
My husband, Jeremy, is a McCook native and I have always enjoyed this community when we would come to visit his family. Jeremy and I were married at McCook Christian Church 8 years ago and started our lives in Cozad, Nebraska. God led us back to McCook almost 2 years ago. He continues to open doors for our family to grow and become an integral part of McCook. Close community and fellowship is how God intended people to live. We are better together. I enjoy connection and authenticity and it’s important to me and my practice as a Physical Therapist.
I have been gently encouraged by God through small and big things to follow my dreams of practicing Physical Therapy and rehabilitation focusing on the whole person. I have been called to serve and care for people. Elevate is not just a business, it’s a calling to care for the people in this community and surrounding area.
I have practiced in a rural critical access setting for nearly 9 years treating a wide variety of ages and impairments.
One area I am passionate about is Pelvic Health. I am a mother of 4 who has experienced infertility treatments, a single child vaginal delivery. as well as a triplet c-section delivery. I have personally experienced the changes and challenges, mentally and physically, that occur during childbearing years. This has ignited my passion for prenatal and postnatal care and has led me to receive specialized training to treat and optimize function during this season of life. I realize every woman’s journey with growing a family is different. I love guiding and supporting women through this time to ensure they optimize their health and quality of life.
I am a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist which assists postpartum women return to life and activities safely and effectively. Many times after delivery, the focus is on the health of the infant. The mother has her usual checks and questions, but after her 6 or 8 week check up is cleared to return to “full activity”. The postpartum body is in no way ready to handle full 100% physical activity including running and high impact sports (or carrying around a toddler, a newborn, cleaning, cooking, laundry and potentially returning to work). The pelvic floor and abdominals are still figuring out how to function again after almost 10 months of being altered.
My other certifications include Certified Lactation Counselor to assist women and babies to meet their breastfeeding goals. Lactation support is in conjunction with postpartum visits (yes, babies and kids are welcome to visits!) and serves as a holistic approach to caring for the postpartum period. I have also completed advanced education in treatment of incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, osteoporosis, and menopausal changes that occur. It is never too late to address these issues and care of your health!
My passion is to help women of ALL ages navigate this life knowing they are valued and to provide them with the tools they need to best care for themselves body, mind and soul.
My compassion, authenticity, faith and comprehensive education in rehabilitating musculoskeletal and neuromuscular dysfunction and women’s/pelvic health specialization is what I hope to bring to this community and surrounding areas.
